In order to evaluate the operation status of electric energy metering devices more comprehensively and accurately, a state evaluation method of the electric energy metering device based on Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process is proposed. The data of each state quantity of the electric energy metering device transmitted by the Internet of Things are used to construct a fuzzy judgment matrix and further solve the weight of each layer element, and then calculate the final score of the evaluation target through the weighted summation of the weight and the index score of each level. The final score of the evaluation target is calculated by weighted summation from the weight and the index scores of each level, and then the interval of the score is used to determine whether each part of the electric energy metering device is operating normally. Through qualitative and quantitative comprehensive analysis, it can systematically and effectively analyze the relationship between the final evaluation target and each level. Finally, the effectiveness and accuracy of the method are verified through case analysis.
